The problem every hydrogen product has to solve

How dissolvable hydrogen tablets work
Most dissolvable hydrogen tablets are built around elemental magnesium combined with a food-grade acid such as malic or tartaric acid. Drop one in water and the magnesium reacts, producing hydrogen gas that dissolves into the glass. The chemistry is genuine and well understood.
The complications are practical rather than theoretical. The hydrogen begins escaping the moment it is generated, so your actual dose depends on your container, how long you let it sit, and how quickly you drink it. Why you cannot just mix the capsule into water

When a dissolvable tablet is the better choice
There is a real case for tablets, and pretending otherwise would be dishonest. If you struggle to drink enough water, a tablet protocol attaches your hydrogen habit to a glass of water several times a day, and the hydration itself is worth something. If you actively want the extra magnesium, the tablet is doing two jobs at once. And a lot of people simply prefer the ritual — the fizz, the glass, the pause.
