Frequently Asked Questions
Everything people ask before their first bottle — answered without the hedging.
What is molecular hydrogen?
Molecular hydrogen (H₂) is a gas made of two hydrogen atoms — the smallest molecule that exists. As a supplement it is of interest because its size lets it diffuse into cells and reach the mitochondria, and because it behaves as a selective antioxidant, preferentially reacting with the hydroxyl radical rather than scavenging indiscriminately.
How much hydrogen is in one True Nano H₂ capsule?
Each capsule produces 2mg of molecular hydrogen, generated in the stomach when the magnesium in the capsule reacts with your gastric acid. The Supplement Facts panel lists 2mg molecular hydrogen and 49mg magnesium per capsule.
How many capsules should I take?
One to two capsules, one to three times daily, with or without food. There is no loading phase and no need to cycle off.
How long before I notice anything?
This varies a great deal between individuals, and anyone promising you a specific timeline is guessing. Molecular hydrogen is best understood as daily foundational support rather than something with an acute, obvious effect, so consistency over weeks matters more than any single dose.
Are there side effects?
Molecular hydrogen has no known side effects at supplemental levels, and its metabolic byproduct is water. That said, no supplement is right for everyone. If you are pregnant, nursing, taking prescription medication, or managing a health condition, speak with your healthcare provider before starting.
Is this the same as hydrogen water?
Same active molecule, different delivery. Hydrogen water dissolves H₂ gas into a glass you then drink, which means some of it escapes into the air before you finish. A capsule releases the hydrogen in the stomach, so nothing is lost to open air and there is no timing to manage.
Can I take more than one formula at once?
Yes. Many people run the core True Nano H₂ as a daily baseline and add a targeted formula — turmeric for joints, green tea for focus, L-citrulline around training. Follow the serving guidance on each label.
Where do I buy it?
The full True Nano H₂ line is available on Amazon, shipped from Amazon fulfilment. Each product page on this site links directly to its own listing.
Where are the products made?
In the USA, in an FDA-registered facility operating under Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) standards.
How is a hydrogen capsule different from a dissolvable hydrogen tablet?
Both work by the same chemistry — magnesium reacting with acid to generate hydrogen gas (Mg + 2H⁺ → Mg²⁺ + H₂). The difference is where that reaction happens. A dissolvable tablet carries its own acid, so it reacts in a glass of water on your counter, and hydrogen starts escaping into the air immediately because H₂ is the smallest molecule there is. A True Nano H₂ capsule carries no acid — it uses the hydrochloric acid already in your stomach, so the hydrogen is generated inside you, at the point of absorption. There is nothing to mix, nothing to time, and nothing lost to the room.
Can I just open the capsule and mix it into water?
No, and it will not work the way you expect. The reaction needs acid. Magnesium reacts only slowly with neutral water, because it quickly forms a magnesium hydroxide layer on its surface that stalls the reaction — that passivation is exactly why dissolvable tablets have to include their own food-grade acid to work in a glass. Stomach acid strips that layer and drives the reaction properly. Open the capsule into water and you get a slow, incomplete reaction, and whatever hydrogen does come off escapes into the air instead of into you. Swallow the capsule.
When should I take it?
One to two capsules, one to three times daily, with or without food. Many people prefer the morning for daytime energy support, or roughly 30 minutes before training when they are using it around exercise. There is no loading phase.
Does molecular hydrogen have a taste or smell?
No. Molecular hydrogen is odourless and tasteless, and the capsules are designed to be easy to swallow. This is one of the practical advantages over hydrogen water, which some people find flat or metallic depending on the source water.
Where are these made?
